Fantasy posing as Reality? Or Reality posing as Fantasy?

The plot was so well thought out, it leaves you thinking, "What If?" The story was so compelling that I was up way past bed time, but I had to finish it. And it was so worth the time. Right down to the last paragraph, it was both exciting and thought-provoking. The characters were well developed, three dimensional and likable, especially the hero. One question above was extremely difficult to answer, though. When the survey form asks for the "mood," I settled on "thoughtful." But "suspenseful" and "hopeful" would have fit very well. All in all, I really enjoyed the book, and recommend it highly.

A good light read

Forbidden World is not the first book I read from Kushnir and will probably not be the last.
Although I can say I'm not familiarised with the genre - William Gibson being the closest to what I've read, I liked the book in the overall but its fast pace was surely a let down.
I may be biased due my personal beliefs, but I found the plot to be good and interesting, even though it could have been more worked on. It was good to the point I was expecting more but sadly there wasn't and therefore feeling lacking. I believe that was the book a bit longer, and having some characters more well-developed, it would have felt way better.
The writing itself was also shallow, what I usually don't enjoy, but as the plot drew my attention, I didn't care much about it.
In the end, I can't say I didn't like as I surely did, even though the theme not being my favourite. This is good as a 'light' read, but if expecting a masterpiece with heavy content, it's not here.
I hope Kushnir improves so he can deliver a real masterpiece with this theme and if he does I'll be surely be one of the first to love.

I read this book on a friend's Kindle while on vacation. I have to say that I can't possibly give this more than one star due to the remarkably high level of grammar and punctuation errors. No published work should EVER be so poorly edited/proofread. The writing errors were so common (and somehow inconsistent--proper use one time, then incorrect the next time) that they were a complete distraction from the story.
As for the story itself, I found it very far-fetched, and as one other reviewer said, contrived. Even as a science fiction fan for decades, I found the history presented in this book to be so unbelievable that I could not identify with it or be inspired in any way to consider the "possibilities" espoused by the story teller.
