You can't put it down.

This is the fascinating true story of how the Israeli security forces carefully plotted to track down, capture, and return Adolf Eichmann to Israel for trial. It reads like the very best spy fiction, but it's doubly engrossing because it all really happened. You come away with deep appreciation and admiration for the brilliant minds working in the Mossad, as well as with a sense of the banality of evil (Eichmann is a piteous figure). This isn't classic literature or anything, but it is extremely well done and utterly entertaining. Highly recommended!

Bringing Down the Architect of the Holocaust

This book is a persuasive, intelligent and masterfully displayed dramatic account by Isser Harel, spymaster of the Mossad (1952 - 1963), of the tracking down and capture of Adolph Eichmann in Argentina in 1960. Certain reviewers have questioned Mr. Harel's story such as constructing hideouts within rental houses with secret passages in them and installing "innocent families" as cover. This was done because there was no way to know what to expect from the Argentine people, the German expatriate community or Eichmann upon his disappearance. He also stresses how time consuming the Eichmann mission is, while devoting valuable time to hunting down Mengele. Again, the reason is quite clear: if you can capture one monster, why not try and grab a second one? Everybody has 20/20 hindsight, but we must remember that this was done at a time when there were no cell phones, fax machines or walkie-talkies. It was a remarkable work. A `must read' for those who are interested in the capture of the Nazi architects of the holocaust. I promise you that you won't be disappointed by this true story.
