Excellent book.

This is a great pocket guide for photography. Used this for many years when I was a kid. My daughter has taken a strong interest in photography. So, I looked it up and found it here. It's a little dated in terms of film, but the same principles still apply. Excellent book.

Awesome Pocket Guide

I have been a photographer for quite some time and have recommended this book to all my friends who are either serious about photography or who like to take pictures for fun. For a Pocketguide, this book has a ton of information that are very useful not only for beginners but also for intermediates and advanced. It's excellent! It not only talks about the basics of a camera, film, shutter, aperture, lenses, filters, lighting, action, portraits, darkroom, etc. but also shows you examples. There are a lot of pictures in here for you to see the difference between one item and another. What good is a how to book without pictures, it's not just all words. You couldn't ask for more in a pocket guide. And it's small enough to carry around with you always.
